PLKN does more good than harm

The Malaysian National Service or Program Khidmat Negara (PLKN) is Malaysia’s compulsory military service program and conscripting of people into the armed forces. The 3 months program, which started in December 2003, began as way to encourage friendship between youth of certain ages with different races and ethnic groups and address concerns that the country’s various races were becoming increasingly isolated from one another. I as SPM level in 2006 do not have chance to get involved in the PLKN. I feel so sad because I heard from my friends they were really enjoy doing many activities at the camp but although they tell the good story about PLKN I also hear a lot of bad story about PLKN and make me do not agree to this title above.

Despite progress towards ethnic harmony made in Malaysia in recent times it is clear that there are still problems that is after the 2004 pilot batch completed their National Service, the youth wing of the MCA (Malaysian Chinese Association, Malaysia's largest ethnic Chinese party), on behalf of themselves and 8 other Chinese-based youth organizations, issued a memorandum to the National Service Training Council calling for more non-Malay trainer. I also heard some parents who sent their son or daughter to the PLKN, the camp do not give good quality of food, lack of imbalanced diet for trainee that why last year, trainee from Sri Impian camp suffered food poisoning due to food served on the first day of camp! This story will make the future participants become scare to get involve to the PLKN. Other main controversy issues of Malaysian National Service include the selection system where the government computer database system picks up the trainees randomly without even knowing about their social status. Some cases include poor teenagers who need to work for their living and young mothers with newborn babies who were selected for the program, which are considered as inhumane.

Some people also comment that, the lack of counselors, poor communications among the various secretariats and no code of conduct for camp commandants or directors, trainers. These are my reasons why I do not agree with this title.

Good leader are made not born. You can become a good leader if you have the desire and willpower. It develops through a never ending process of self-study, education, training and experience.

There are certain things you must be, know and do to inspire our work into higher levels especially in teamwork.

Good leaders are continually working and studying to improve their leadership skills, they are not resting on their laurels.

Leadership is a process by which a person influences others to accomplish an objective and directs the organization in a way that makes it more cohesive and coherent.

Leader can carry out this process by applying their leadership attributes such as beliefs, values, ethics, character, knowledge, and skills.

The basic of good leadership is honorable character and selfless service to your organization.

false analogy

Logic is the science of thinking. Before we can think correctly we must first learn to recognize the common fallacy is called False Analogy. Students should be allowed to look at their text books during examination. After all surgeons have x-rays to guide them during an operation lawyers have briefs to guide them when they are building a house. This is the most marvy idea. The arguments .is all wrong. The situations are all together different and you can not make an analogy between them. Another example is why we have to fasting and can not eat food and drink until ‘maghrib’ while Indian fasting can drink milk? Why Chinese can eat pork we can not.? Why we can not drive fast like racing while F1 drive car.? Like the text say the situations are all together different and we can not make an analogy between them. They are all wrong.

love is a fallacy

What a raccoon coat ? I know what I really do not like that coat. Look a it rationally raccoon coat are unsanitary. They shed, smell bad, and weigh too much and unsightly. I hate it and I do not want it. All woman not like man like you because that raccoon coat. You think that raccoon coat will make woman attract because of that coat ? Not!!! Woman will attract because of inside your heart especially if you are romantic will make woman want you more. I think you should throw away. I can not see that coat anymore. Arghh!!! I really tension,why you do not want to hear my advice?!! You will feel regret I hope all women in the world do not want you to become their boyfriend. After few hours later, Peter sleep, I do not what to do. I ask myself what I have to do with that coat? Hah !! I have an idea I want to sell that coat and I get about 50 dollars after sell that coat. I buy genuine leather coat and put at the same place where Peter put the raccoon coat. When Peter wake up, he know me sell that coat, he feel so angry, and I just said you will say thanks to me one day.

HYPOCRISY

Hypocrisy? What hypocrisy? What I know about hypocrisy is practice of misrepresenting one’s real character, opinion etc or by pretending to be more virtuous than one really is and insincerity. Am I a hypocrisy person? I do not know, I think not, because if I do not like someone, I will tell him or her face to face. I do not like to talk something bad behind their back. By the way this day I want to talk about one person that I know are always be hypocrite to herself and the other people and the important is she always be hypocrite to me. I do not why, maybe she do not like me. When she talks to me she always looks alike that she is very friendly, honest, and faithful. If I had a problem I always share my problem with her and if I do not understand in some topics in class she will help me and sometimes give me copy her answer. But one day, I really shock when my other friends said she tell the other student that I always push her to give her answer to me and said that I always bully her, make her like maid. She told my friend that I really bad person. I fell so sad and ask myself, why she doing like this to me ? am I do wrong to her ? I see her and have some talk to her, ask her why she doing like this ? I really shock when she said she actually do not like me because I do not clever like her and many people like me than her. Why she do this to me? I thought that we can be good friend….I am sorry if I do wrong to you. I hope you happy with the other person. Thank you because teach me the value of friendships.

NEAT PEOPLE VERSUS SLOPPY PEOPLE

When first I read the text about neat versus sloppy people, I just do not know if I is the neat person or sloppy person. Maybe half half….just kidding. I want to describe the different personality of two people that I know, they are my mother and my brother. My brother is a sloppy person while my mother is a neat person. When guest come to our house they will praise that our house is very clean and very beautiful with nice furniture I very proud to have mother like her. All the stuff is in the house are in the right place but contrast with my brother. He always lazy to clean his stuff in his own room . My mother always said that if one mouse get into our house the mouse, the mouse will go into his room and live happily. Although my mother get angry with him everyday and everytime, his does not follow what my mother said. In our house if my mother see anything like dust or paper that do not use, she will throw into the dustbin. Sometimes if my father and my sister ask if see paper that are on the table she will easily answer that she just throw into the dustbin. While for me, sometimes I clean my room sometimes not ( if I have a good mood to clean all the things in my room ). How about all of you? Are you are neat person or sloppy person? Think about it….hmmmm.

Devote yourself to something you do well

Most of the people have their strength and thier weakness. Some of them know their self-image but not for me.When I read the text that Miss Azian give it to me and to my classmates,I reall enjoy to read it. The title of that text is 'How to get the most out of yourself '. Each of the paragraphs in that text have topic sentences. One of the topic sentences is ' Devote yourself to something you do well'. Ilke this topic very much because it remember me about my own experience. Before I start study at KLIUC, I study at UITM melaka and take business study course. I know in that course have mathematic and account subject,it really hard to me but I push myself to do it because I want my parents to be proud of me. In class I'm the only one who do not understand what the lecturer say. I fell very sad and frustated. Sometimes I do not study at all. I just go out with my friends. When the final exam started I can not do my best and my parents was very sad. I fell very bad why I can n ot be like other students that get the best result. I tell my parents that I actually have problem in math and account. Thank god my father understand my weakness. He give me one more chance to study. So here I are,studt at KLIUC and take Diploma in English Professional Communication. I promise to myself and I swear I will do the best result to prove to my parents thatI will be successful like other student. Ohh! I forget to say why I choose this program it is because this program do not have math and account and the important is I knoe my english is better than my math and account. I want to improve myself. I always get B for English I hope I can get higher than that. Please forgive me if my english is bad. Please help me to learn more about this subject. I would like to say thank you very much to my lecturer Miss Azian, you are the best lecturer that I ever had.
