our great event..hi-tea on valentine's day...

As one of the student from DLE 115 I work as high committee in this event. My responsibilities is for do the work that event manager want to do. Before this event is held on the Valentine ’s Day, I and other committee members have to find sponsor to make this event happen. We think if we just use our money to buy hampers, goodie bags and payment for the hall that we use at Bangi Golf Resort ( BGR) is not enough because some of our friends are very difficult to pay the money that is why we have to find another plan. But unfortunately, our request to have sponsor from 8tv, Flyfm, DBKL, Giant and Mofaz was rejected. We feel very sad and feel regret because it comes from our mistakes, we are late to make a request from this sponsor. Luckily, Desmond our vice president has found one sponsor that want to sponsor 4 hampers for us that is Billion. Thank you Billion. After solve the problem about find the sponsor, the new problem comes, which is during the Hi-Tea event. For me, the service that BGR serve is quite bad because when we arrive at the BGR’s hall about 12 pm they do not want to switch the air conditioner or fan because our event is started about 2.30 pm. We doing the decoration and manage the PA system in the hot environment. BGR should change their quality of service. Many problems come to us during this preparation sometimes we are really tension and feel disappointed. Thank you to Miss Yasotha our lecturer willing to help us although she have told us before this is our event we have to prepare by ourselves and she just give the mark from our work, preparation and from our performance.

During the Hi-Tea event we have enjoy ourselves. Watch our friend’s performance and eat such a wonderful meals. Ms Christine has come to our event as our VIP quest and some quest that our friend brings. When my friends and I have to perform I feel very scared because I know I am not a good dancer. I forgot to tell that my friends and I have decided that we want to perform Zapin dance. Luckily our performance makes a good reaction from the audience. Ms Christine and Miss Yasotha also dance together with us. I have learn many positive things during this event, that is how to make this happen successfully, each members in the committee have to do work and what is responsibilities for each work. And for the negative things that I see from this event are we learn from our mistake that is late to make request to get the sponsor, make a wrong choice to have a good committee members and the VIP arrive very late and make our event run slow. Overall, all of us enjoy do this event and wish to have it more and want to correct from our mistake. I will remember this event in my mind.
