Devote yourself to something you do well
Most of the people have their strength and thier weakness. Some of them know their self-image but not for me.When I read the text that Miss Azian give it to me and to my classmates,I reall enjoy to read it. The title of that text is 'How to get the most out of yourself '. Each of the paragraphs in that text have topic sentences. One of the topic sentences is ' Devote yourself to something you do well'. Ilke this topic very much because it remember me about my own experience. Before I start study at KLIUC, I study at UITM melaka and take business study course. I know in that course have mathematic and account subject,it really hard to me but I push myself to do it because I want my parents to be proud of me. In class I'm the only one who do not understand what the lecturer say. I fell very sad and frustated. Sometimes I do not study at all. I just go out with my friends. When the final exam started I can not do my best and my parents was very sad. I fell very bad why I can n ot be like other students that get the best result. I tell my parents that I actually have problem in math and account. Thank god my father understand my weakness. He give me one more chance to study. So here I are, studt at KLIUC and take Diploma in English Professional Communication. I promise to myself and I swear I will do the best result to prove to my parents thatI will be successful like other student. Ohh! I forget to say why I choose this program it is because this program do not have math and account and the important is I knoe my english is better than my math and account. I want to improve myself. I always get B for English I hope I can get higher than that. Please forgive me if my english is bad. Please help me to learn more about this subject. I would like to say thank you very much to my lecturer Miss Azian, you are the best lecturer that I ever had.

Hi Mimi, I've taken a printout of the page. I can't read from the screen anymore...
I'll send my comment soon.. :)
Definitely, there's a difference between interest and potential. More often, when we love a subject, we’ll put more effort and eventually be successful in it. There are people who are not good at a subject, but they improve dramatically when they devote all their energies to study the subject. Their interest (and goal) helps them to consistently focus their attention.
Generally, if one isn’t interested in a subject, one won’t spend much time to get to know more about it or to understand it. But there are people who dislike a subject and still are good at it – they’re highly disciplined and practical. They don't have to like something to do it. They do it because they have to - they don’t have a choice.
However, the bottom line is ... If you're good at something, sharpen it. If you can develop interest in something you’re good at, or improve your skill at something you’re interested in, that's better :)
